CHOCOLATE & PEANUT BUTTER SQUARES
Jun 25, 2024makes 8 squares
And something indulgent for the end. These dark chocolate & nut butter bites are an excellent alternative to truffles, or maybe like a grown up version of them. Dark chocolate, nut butter & sea salt work really well together, and one or two squares are usually enough to feel satisfied.
Collagen is optional in this recipe, but if you`ve got some at hand – do go for it, for some extra protein and turning this dessert into a treat that is very friendly for stable energy levels, whenever you decide to have it. Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 180g dark 85% chocolate
- 180g smooth peanut or cashew butter
- 4 Tbsp collagen (optional)
- pinch of sea salt
Method:
- Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt in a glass bowl either over a pot of slowly simmering water or in microwave, stirring every 20-30 seconds.
- Once the chocolate is fully melted, stir in the nut butter and collagen, mix till fully combined.
- Pour the mix into a loaf tin lined with baking paper, drizzle some more nut butter on top and sprinkle with salt.
- Refrigerate for 2-3 hours till fully set, once set, cut into squares and keep in a fridge, in an airtight container.
