MISO CABBAGE recipe

makes 2 portions

What’s great about this recipe - it takes minutes to make, tastes wonderful both warm or cold the next day. Excellent source of fibre, good bacteria and cabbage itself is a fantastic support to our female hormones.

Ingredients:

  • 1 hispi (sweetheart, pointed) cabbage, cut in 4
  • 2 Tbsp brown miso paste
  • 5 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 5 Tbsp tamari sauce
  • 2 Tbsp sesame oil
  • pinch of chilli flakes
  • tiny drizzle of honey
  • some olive oil or ghee

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a deep skillet pan.
  2. Brown cabbage on each side to the extent you like (don’t burn it though)
  3. Cover the pan with a lid and continue cooking cabbage on a medium heat for another 4-5 mins, until it softens a bit.
  4. Mix all sauce ingredients together.
  5. Transfer cabbage on a dish, pour generously with sauce, enjoy!
